Mirror in mixed art

Another addition to my mirrors is this mirror in mixed art, again in oils and relief work. This is done on a big horizontal mirror using the same technique as my earlier relief work paintings.

Hope this catches your eyes too.

Hibiscus in water colors

Another addition to my earlier collection in water colors is these hibiscus flowers. Again done on hand made paper using the chinese style of brush painting. Hope you like them.

Flowers in Purple

Another similar painting to my earlier post is using the same technique of  flowers done using acrylic paints and on a background of water colors. This is again done on a handmade sheet.

Flowers in red

Flowers done in mixed media on a handmade paper.The background is done in water colors for a cooling effect and the flowers are done using artist acrylic paints. Hope you like them.

Lady face in Black & white

This sketch has been done by my daughter as her first attempt in sketching. I feel she has a good hand and must keep up her efforts. God bless her and keep her talent and enthusiasm alive!

Daisy, Morning Glory, Lotus

The next three flowers in my list are the Daisy, Morning Glory and Lotus. Again, all these are done in eater colors on a hand made sheet. Hope you liked these too.

Rose

The next flower in my series of flowers in water colors is the Rose. Here I have given the dark and light effect in the form of dark red and yellow which gives a very good effect too.

The next flower in my list of flowers painted in water colors are the Daisies. The paper chosen again is an off white handmade paper. The colors chosen are subtle white with depth of yellow in them. 


Such a simple thing to be painted is very good for your practice and easy to do too. 

Mirror in mixed art

My friend wanted to put up a mirror in her  hall. I thought of doing something which would match up with her furniture and settings. She has a sofa with tiger print in black and white. But a mix of black, white, red gold and green came to my mind. And I had decided to give a reverse mirror as well as relief work. So the final result is the one in the picture. This gives a depth as well as a mural effect to it.

Daffodil

My son had come up with his homework (to be done by his mother) to make a chart of different flowers.  So I  thought it to be a great opportunity to brush up my knowledge of water colors. I was doing my water colors after a long time.


So I started doing different flowers on different sheets on handmade paper in off white color. The first ones are the DAFFODILS and on later days I shall continue with a few more flowers. 


And finally, I decide to stick all these different sheets on a red colored chart paper along with the labels. Hope you like my idea and work.
